Established in April 2021, the NSW Firearms Registry Consultative Council is a forum for the regular exchange of information and ideas between those involved in firearms regulation and the NSW Police Force on issues relevant to firearms regulation and public safety.
The Council has a vacant seat and the NSW Firearms Registry is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified persons for appointment to the Council until March 2023.
They are interested in people across the spectrum of the firearms industry from sport, interest areas such as collecting or hunting, manufacturing, importation, retail, primary production, gun control, victim services, public health and law reform.
They are looking for firearm sector experts who can contribute constructively to raising opportunities, and identifying barriers, for the better regulation of firearms and to improving compliance with legislative requirements.
Further information and the expression of interest application form on the Firearms Registry website at Firearms Registry Consultative Council – NSW Police Public Site.
Expressions of interest close 1 November 2021.
