Introduction
The Shooting Industry Foundation of Australia is the peak body that represents Australia’s major importers, wholesalers and retailers of firearms, ammunition, and related accessories.
The industry supplies Australia’s Defence, Law Enforcement, and other government agencies, as well as Australia’s 868,000+ licensed firearm owners.
In 2019, it was conservatively estimated that the non-government sector of the Australian shooting industry contributed $2.4 billion to Australia’s GDP and supported in excess of 19,500 jobs.
