The Shooting Industry Foundation of Australia (SIFA) was established in 2014 and serves as the national peak body that represents the Australian shooting industry. SIFA plays a pivotal role in advocating for the interests of the industry, working to ensuring its growth and sustainability.

These prominent businesses invest heavily in SIFA to ensure that the future of the industry is protected. At our core, SIFA’s primary role is to foster, develop, and represent the interests of an essential Australian industry that contributes substantially to the nation’s GDP, estimated conservatively to be $2.4 billion annually whilst supporting over 19,500 local, full-time jobs.
As with all Australian industries, SIFA’s role as an industry peak body is of paramount importance. We understand the need for sensible firearm regulation to uphold public safety, however, we recognise the need for sensible, evidence-based regulation to ensure that law-abiding Australian shooting industry businesses can start-up, grow, and operate with minimal unnecessary regulatory interference.
Our work is focused on the pursuit of a collaborative approach to ensure the needs of our industry are understood, making SIFA a true partner to all shooting industry stakeholders, including the Commonwealth, State and Territory governments, and the various agencies and bodies that regulate our industry.
Our members
Beretta Australia’s Founder and Managing Director, Mr. Luca Scribani Rossi, began his passion starting as a professional shooter, amassing Olympic and World Championship, World Cup, and Grand Prix medals over the years. Later in his career he led the Italian Shooting Team and then the Australian Shooting team to Olympic victory as Coach and Technical Director. Shooting has always been Mr Scribani Rossi’s true passion.
During his coaching career in Australia, it became apparent that shooters could not get easy access to Beretta’s full range of products and services. This coupled with Luca’s love for shooting, a deep respect for the Beretta brand and a long-standing relationship with the Beretta family, a perfect opportunity presented itself.
Beretta Australia was founded in 2000 and is focused on strengthening family values and connection with nature through our shared passion for shooting and providing product ownership experiences that transcend generations.
