SIFA is proud to publish today, highlights of our inaugural Insight 2022 – Australian shooting industry survey.
The aim of Insight 2022 is to collect vital data and statistics that will benchmark our industry, so that in the future when Insight is conducted again, we can monitor the development of our industry. The data in this report will be used by SIFA to:
- represent our industry to governments, regulators, and their associated bureaucracies,
- foster growth and secure the future of the industry
- defend the industry from attacks and counter negative stereotypes.
- highlight and demonstrate the importance of our industry
- understand and identify current and emerging issues.
The success of this initiative relied on getting as many businesses as possible across the Australian shooting industry to respond and we are extremely pleased to report that Insight was enormously embraced by the Australian shooting industry.
Response rates from licensed dealers was 45% whilst response rates from importers / manufacturers was 46%. These are far higher response rates than most business surveys which typically generate a response rate of 10% or less. This means that the results contained in this survey reflect the profiles and opinions of almost half of the known business contacts in the industry.
SIFA is releasing this valuable data to the Australia shooting industry, to enable businesses and stakeholders to better understand the industry in which they operate, and to plan for future growth and success.
